** Description changed: Binary package hint: xorg After boot on this machine there is no visible mouse pointer. Using the invisible mouse pointer I am able to open a terminal. When typing in terminal moouse pointer change to text select shape and then mouse pointer is working. Pointer disapear afterwords sometimes in situation I cannto reproduce easily. This symptom exists both in Lucid and in Karmic. I have to use i915.modset=0 to be able to get a graphic screen at boot.
