Thanks for your help but understand that I'm still new to Linux. I
looked in my directory and tried running the path in terminal - came up
empty on both. I have no 'pool' folder anywhere. I have no dkms file
anywhere.
Where do I find this pool folder? I tried taking a screenshot of my main

I have not tried the driver form the vendor you mentioned. But the
included bcmwl driver does work for me. Could you give it another try.
Here is a revised procedure for your reference:
1. Install dkms and patch through the included packages in the
installation media:
dkms: pool/main/d/dkms/dkms_
I connected via ethernet again. I ran the command you you stated "sudo
apt-" and got:
Reading Package Lists...Done
Building Dependency Tree
Reading state insformation...Done
E: Couldn't find package dkms
Tried two more times with "sudo apt-get install dkms" and "sudo apt-get
install patch" -
You may want to try the following:
1. Connect your Dell mini 10v to internet via ethernet.
2. install the following 2 packages: dkms and patch
sudo apt-get install dkms patch
