Hi Guys,
I just quickly chatted with the ubuntu kernel team. Unfortunately an
SRU (stable release update) to add quick support for you systems most
likely won't be done. However, care to test the upcoming Intrepid Ibex
8.10 kernel? If this issue still exists, we can try to get it resolved
there
Using irqpoll I can get the system to boot every time, is there no way
of incorporating this directly into the kernel so I won't have to type
it in/edit config files?

This is still happening with everything up-to-date as of today. I have
to reset my machine many times to get it to boot, or use irqpoll. Is
there any chance of this getting fixed in hardy at all?

I too have had many issues running Ubuntu since Feisty on an Abit IB9
motherboard, receiving errors such as above.
I tried to install Hardy via Wubi and also received the same error. I
decided to try the alternate cd to see if I would have any luck there.

I'm having this problem on an Abit IP35Pro board, but only when I have
two SATA2 hard drives attached (two identical Western Digital drives:
500GB SE16). I also have a SATA CD/DVD burner, but it seems to have no
effect on the problem. Having only one of the hard drives attached boots
fine. Booting

Can you try booting with the 'irqpoll' option. That will at least
hopefully get rid of one of the errors I was noticing in your dmesg
output. Care to then reattach your new dmesg output?
Also I just wanted to add another note here. Hardy Alpha 4 will be out
within the next day or two.

Hi freetools,
Just a few comments here. You might want to also take a look at bug
153096 and try some of the workarounds posted there. Please let us know
if any work for you. Also the Hardy Heron kernel was recently uploaded
for testing. We'd really appreciate it if you could try testing with
