This is happening to me right now on another computer running Karmic Koala.
If I boot into Gnome (running Compiz) the keyboard input is not accepted.
The keyboard still works but will not put input into any input boxes.
If I run GNOME Failsafe the system works.

Still experience this. After a day or so of running, eventually windows
start opening black. They can be revived by shrinking smaller and
smaller, but eventually that method runs out as the window gets too
small to be usable. Have tried many solutions including indirect-
rendering, nothing works
Considering this problem also happened with OpenOffice (and also
KdeSvn), then I'd wager it isnt a problem directly with AbiWord.
However maybe it is a problem with one of the components shared between
them.

Here is an example. However keep in mind that EVERY file I've created with
glade3 does not work.

I've had this problem also with Intrepid on an Acer Aspire One netbook.
It would not reconnect even after retyping the password.
I had to install WICD so that network manager stopped changing the
wireless password to junk.

other, they will always change their order after logging out and logging
in. So the first bar will be second from top after logging back in.
This is very annoying if the panels are locked down, because then

I also experience this. The "Screen Resolution" applet does nada. It
also reports incorrect info.

I find if "Xinerama" is enabled, Ubuntu will hang at startup.
Check your (old) xorg.conf for that.

My bug is about multiple graphics cards in Ubuntu, which was deleted as
a dupe of this one. Ubuntu simply cannot handle 3 graphics cards at
once (at least mine). I know this is not my issue because Mandriva
Linux easily detects and sets these up, with no hassle whatsoever.
