I suspect there must be something fishy in my service/engine/host
configuration (It should be changed to write to /etc/tomcat/Catalina/ as

opera), and also 2.6.24 on a PIII-3GHz with debian unstable. Note that I

issue?

Looks like the problem with the external input not working

I have to add that even after many tries I, and someone else
I know who has the same laptop (using fedora however), am not able to use the
microphone input.
Don't know whether it actually does not work, or just switching to the
input is broken...

Some month ago I went from debian sid to dapper, and I conserved my home
partition, thus dapper used my .kde etc, and all this went well, none of
my settings were lost and I had no problems at all with dapper.
Then when edgy came, I of course upgrade
recording using internal mic. works here. Using an external however I
could not get a signal, probably misuse of mine...

I upgraded my laptop from kubuntu dapper to edgy, and now
it takes about 30 seconds from the moment X starts until I see the kdm login
screen.
Note that in dapper with kde 3.5.4 this took only a few seconds.

Yes, still no sound... but it seems to be fixed with the latest rc from
alsa

After trying to migrate my dapper from ext3 to xfs I was confronted with this
bug... it is still reproducible in a fully updated dapper.
