regarding my Acer TravelMate 3012WTMi. I run feisty now, and everything works, except the mic-input on the front of the laptop. It works, but the signal is not boosted. I tried plugging my portable mediaplayer, and as its signal is higher than a bare microphone, it works. In windows, the sound applet of the soundcare has a "Mic Boost" checkbox. That is what is missing in Linux.
