This is fixed in Pidgin 2.5.7, but that is not yet in Ubuntu.
Yahoo changed their connection system. Go to Accounts, select account,
click Modify. In the Advanced tab change your Paging server to
cs101.msg.mud.yahoo.com or 66.163.181.172 - they have been reported to
work (and do so in my case).

I believe there is an incompatibility between the High Memory Support <64GB>
option in the Kernel and UXA.
I've been compiling the 2.6.30RCx and 2.6.29.x kernel both from kernel.org and
ubuntu source and that option seems to break UXA. The reason I was compiling
was to get the full 4GB RAM memo
This bug usually appeared within 5 minutes of logging into kde with compiz on.
After I moved to UXA I no longer get X hangs. I have not tried the repro.sh
yet, but it hasn't appeared within 5 minutes after several restarts.

I've been having the same problem with the authentication timing out,
but it only affects WEP networks as far as i can tell. This Ubuntu
intrepid ibex beta kernel 2.6.27-6-generic with 3945ABG wifi. I've just

I had Ubuntu 8.04.1 installed, then installed Intrepid beta on a separate
partition to give it a try. I liked intrepid and it seemed stable so i upgraded
8.04.1 to 8.10 beta then erased the swap and ext3 used for the 8.10 and created
