Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Can you reproduce the
error with another file, not recorded by your digital camera? NB: avi
can be encoded with a large variety of codecs. If the bug only occurs
with files recorded with your camera then you should check the manual
and see what codec they use and procure it.
Could you please post the output from terminal of command: apt-cache
policy gxine
