I believe there is an incompatibility between the High Memory Support <64GB>
option in the Kernel and UXA.
I've been compiling the 2.6.30RCx and 2.6.29.x kernel both from kernel.org and
ubuntu source and that option seems to break UXA. The reason I was compiling
was to get the full 4GB RAM memory my laptop has.
I've been using UXA since the intel bug in Jaunty with great succes and I'd
like to continue doing so.
