It may be so that adding the license information is sufficient to comply
with the requirement to agree with it. But the licenses of these

Instead of hacking /usr/share/initramfs-tools/init, it's more elegant
and robust to add the delay as a rootdelay boot parameter. E.g. edit
/etc/default/grub as follows:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet rootdelay=10"
and run 'sudo update-grub'.

Yes, defaulting to Ubuntu is fine (although a bit weird when it's not
supported). But when I explicitly specify to report to Debian I want it
to either report to Debian or tell me that that is not supported (should
that be the case).

Default copyright does not allow commercial use, so allowing it
explicitly *is* required.
This bug report is about license incompatibility, not missing copyright
info. The file with the offending file is still there in version 1.8.0
in Ubuntu 10.10.

In Hardy (well, gNewSense):

In Intrepid:

Recording from input Capture works.
So it looks like it's fixed in Intrepid.

I booted with the Intrepid Alpha 5 LiveCD. Out of the box it connects
with the Realtek card. If I disable the Realtek card and assign a static
IP address to the onboard Ethernet in Networkmanager, I can't connect

2.6.27 kernel.
I have just downloaded and installed

I've been digging through the code a bit. The method get_changelog does
the following:

3. Compare both versions.
4. Use the highest version to get the changelog file.
Applying this to cpp package:
