I booted with the Intrepid Alpha 5 LiveCD. Out of the box it connects with the Realtek card. If I disable the Realtek card and assign a static IP address to the onboard Ethernet in Networkmanager, I can't connect anymore. So it's still the same as in regular Hardy and Hardy with the 2.6.27 kernel.
