I have just downloaded and installed http://packages.ubuntu.com/intrepid/i386/linux- image-2.6.27-3-generic/download on the machine (running Hardy) with GDebi. I opened the network settings, where I disabled the (working) Realtek card interface (eth1) and enabled the onboard Ethernet (eth0). I left it on DHCP.
Then I rebooted with the new kernel. It booted fine, but the onboard Ethernet still didn't work. I opened network settings again and changed eth0 from DHCP to a free static IP address. I tried pinging the router, but it said "Destination Host Unreachable". I will see if I have better luck with the Alpha5 LiveCD. -- Onboard ethernet doesn't work (nVidia CK8S) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/246090 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
