My last remark was wrong - the Application menu gives Herew names for most of
the apps. Thunar is still called:

Lionel, the problem was never in Thunar, it was in the Xfce applications menu.
It seems that now the menu gives the Applications' English names (I'm testing
it on Xubuntu 8.10)

doesn't have the "equation" option.

Here is a picture of my Evolution window with the encoding bug in Hebrew
on Ubuntu Hardy. This depicts the Hebrew user interface, but the bug is
just the same when ubuntu is working with English UI.

The source package penguintv (3.0-0ubuntu3) contains translation (PO files) to
few foreign languages, and these files contain proper and complete
translations. However, when I tried to run PenguinTV with the Portuguese
interface it gave mostl
I should add that since in Hebrew and in other non European languages
this bug effects all the text, not just isolated letters. This means
that the "From" field becomes unreadable rendering Evolution almost
unusable. I therefore suggest that the importance level of this bug
should be raised.

In my case (Hebrew) the encoding is utf-8, but the bug is the same.
This problem is not only in the "from" field but also in "Sent Massages",

My friends asked me about OpenOffice 2.4 and I had to recommend to skip
the upgrade. However, most linux users relay on their distribution to
make this decision. If this bug will be left as the default for ubuntu
8.04 I will have to recommend avoiding the ubuntu upgrade as well. I
really hope that
