Had a similar issue on a 20.04 install today after updating to 5.14.
Woke it up from suspend on 5.10.0-1057-oem. Rebooted once (some screen
issues that turned out to be the screen), installed updates via update-
manager, rebooted using the new 5.14.0-1024-oem kernel and it just hung.

I have a similar problem. For me the Ubuntu 20.04 installer would
consistently crash at 90% (regardless of which hard drive I installed it
to). When I followed the instructions to report the bug, it led me here.
I was able to circumvent the problem by choosing "minimal installation"
and NOT "downl
during the push action.
Today I reproduced again with the result below (the reported issue in
German "Speicherzugriffsfehler" means there is a problem to handle the
memory)

As this seems to affect mostly users of the de. mirror I subscribed the owner
of that mirror to this bug (hope this is the right way to go about it).
Changing to the German NetCologne mirror fixed this issue for me for now. It
was an ongoing problem with several Trusty servers for several month.
OK, I get it work now. The 14.04 kernel is missing the firmware for the
bluetooth hardware.
I have downloaded the firmware, renamed and copied it appropriately and
now bluetooth is working:

You should just close this bug. It hasn't happened for quite some time
and I can no longer duplicate it under any kernal release in the last 18
months or more.
