mke2fs /dev/fd0 (or whichever floppy drive it is)
This needs to be done as root.
Then mount with:
mount -t ext2 /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy (or alternate mount point)

Yes, actually I ran into it as well a few days ago, after I'd already
written a script to re-create it.
Just another chapter in my
sendmail,
exim, qmail-smtpd, or some other SMTP server. telnetd isn't relevant
in this case.
Now, telnetd should certainly be disabled, but if you don't want
certain people logging in at all, do the shell trick as well. It
works fine for ssh as well.

Also, be sure to add the aliases output when you create a new list to
