I have a question. My office connects to our NOC via a fiber line that
connects the switch in my office to a switch in the NOC. Last Week
things went dead and so far it points to the Fiber line being dead. I am
still searching for a flashlight to test the line. That is what I was
told by our Wiring

If those aren't requirements in your case, then there's no reason (no
technical reason, anyway) that you can't use copper. Of course, the
8th and 9th layers may have something to say about the situation.

Yup. Same as trying to stare at an Eclipse but a bit worse. But would
the camera transfer the intensity of the laser as if you put a mirror
there? I guess I could turn out the lights in the NOC, pull the fiber
cable and point it toward a piece of paper up close to see if it shows

Okay. I added the missing semicolon and no change. I will go the hash

Yes incorporating everything in the perk script is the way to go but I am
on a deadline. I have never programmed in PERL so I have been porting this
over in pieces so I can get my boss off my back. Now that I have this
portion done I can finish the project and finishing the total move to PERL
I will do all of this as I bring more of the script over to PERL as this is
my first move into writing PERL scripts so all of this advice and examples
is greatly appreciated
