Have you considered simply adding your gmail calendar's RSS feed to
Outlook? Then you could get a combined view in Outlook, at least on the PC
and perhaps on your iphone as well (assuming you're using some sort of
corporate iphone/exchange client...?)

your iphone, though you're talking about needing a VPN to get to your
outlook calendar, so maybe that's the real problem you need to solve. As

I had this working fine at my old job. I added work as one exchange
server, and gmail as it's own account. each source was a different color
and showed up on the same calendar.
If you don't want work mail on your phone, you can turn off mail/contact
syncing and only have the calendar.

was simpler and I didn't have to fire up a VPN tunnel to get to my other
calendar. Once I got the Blackberry it worked fine. But like I have said

In a perfect world I would like to add the event on my outlook and it show
up on the phone and on my Google calendar and the same thing if I put the
event on my phone it goes to the other 2 and and the same with the Google
