I'm using SA in conjunction with MailScanner.
When I execute MailScanner my terminal starts reporting the following
message:
Cannot open bayes databases /root/.spamassassin/bayes_* R/W: lock failed:
File exists
/root/.spamassassin/ contains what looks like thousands of bayes_* files.

Is there a way to start from scratch or reinstall SA-Learn module?
Thanks

I actually saw that there's a new option --import in sa-learn and I ran
it with that (actually "sa-learn -D --import"). I

I am using a Sparc/Solaris system with perl 5.8.0 and SpamAssassin 2.60
installed (SpamAssassin as a local installation).
I am having occasional problems with the bayes databases. From time to
time the bayesian classifier will fail with messages like:
Cannot open bayes databases /home/warp/.
SA 2.60 on Windows 2000 under CommuniGate Pro using CGPSA (which calls
SA through the perl object, not using the .bat file), but is
single-threaded under Windows. I regularly see the following error
message in the log:
Cannot open bayes databases C:\Documents and Settings\Default
User.WINNT/.spama

Not that I can see:

bayes_seen

Hey just upgraded to SA 2.6, now when I do a sa-learn I get:
Cannot open bayes databases /home/rodmur/.spamassassin/bayes_* R/W: tie
failed: File exists
So I'm guessing this is some incompatibility with db format, and I'm
probably going to have to nuke my dbs and start again, right?
