Hi all -
I am getting the error in the subject line on my RH 9 machine with SA
2.60 and milter-spamc. Everything appears to be working fine, so I am
assuming this is a non-issue.
Am I right?

This is discussed extensively in the archives. Try:
unset LANG
and then start again.
Tho
literally thousands of
them which we have received to sa-lean and now SA is happily tagging them as
junk mail with a BAYES_99.
So for those like me who don't mind using SA in this non-standard way, have
faith - Bayes will come to the rescue if you help it out a bit.

Please don't post to the list in HTML.
I dumped that rule by adding this line to /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf:

I have a client with a Red hat 9 + SA 2.55 + spamass-milter server in
front of a Lotus Notes server. The client has hired a Notes developer
to give their users an extra button in Notes to forward false negatives
to a spam account the Linux server so I can run sa-learn --spam on the
messages
eral 10's of thousands of messages a day on a dual P-II 266. It got
really bogged down until we maxed out the memory to 512MB, then it ran OK.
If you are going to use a low end machine, at least make sure that it hass
lots of memory.

For a relaying sendmail server, look at spamass-milter. Trivial to install

There was a spam message in my inbox when I ran sa-learn --ham on it. What
is the best way to unlearn it as ham and learn it as spam? Can I just stick

If you have one message in the caught-spam folder and run sa-learn on it, it
will report it learned from one message. If you leave that message in there
and add a second, sa-learn will only learn from the second, since it's
already read ther first one.
I think.

I looked at the site and it looks like a scam - join for "only" $9.95/year
and they will pull your name from "1000's" of mailing lists.
Of course, this pre-supposes that the spammers are cooperating with
remove.org - not likely.

I own several domain names. I stopped using an e-mail address on one of
those domain names back in 1998. I *still* get spam to that address. So
that address made one of the lists which apparently gets resold over and
over again. I don't think that they ever clean up their lists.
