Hi,
and again thanks for smartmontools!
The Samsung SSD 840 EVO is not in smartctl database (I checked with updated
drivedb.h).
Slightly strange is that the short self-test routine #1 I run at Power_On_Hours
18 (eventually PoH 17) is reported for LifeTime(hours) 1.

Hi Christian, hi all,
the attached output shows strange Head_Flying_Hours for a ST3500418AS.
Should be near the POH of 69 hours.
Lenovo has issued a firmware update "Solution to abnormal bootup of Seagate hard
disk in low temperatures"
for this drive which updates drive firmware from f.e. CC66

thank you for adding!
Attribute 190 is now reported as:

Previously it was:
64GByte, Firmware Version: AXM09B1Q, smartctl 5.41 2011-06-04 r3354
Output after "smartctl --test=long /dev/sda" attached.
Output is significantly different from the one reported at:

In a Western Digital My Book 3.0 2 TByte. Log is appended.
Was not yet in drivedb.h downloaded today.

Hi,
here goes a report. And a call to action.
After 325 hours of desktop use overall 105 times more
bytes have been erased than have been written.
Which is excessive.
I'd be happy if someone would either confirm or disprove
this finding. To help tracking this down I added a script
which hourly
output of smartctl -a (after running smartctl --test=long) is attached.

An earlier report about a similar drive (OCZ Vertex) is here:

Similar to the report there, the drive here has non-zero values for 198
