Hi William,
I am 100% sure that the IQ7 would work without a Gateway. I am nearly sure
that the IQ8's will as well. I'll sometimes turn the solar on before the
gateway is fully installed just to test the strings, and the microinverters
do seem to wake up. I am not sure what California might have t
whether there are
any programming nuances that might affect the AC coupling? Or anything else
that I maybe should be looking for when troubleshooting this one?
Thanks!

It's fortunate that you have two charge controllers, which makes
troubleshooting easier. If there is a solid ground fault, it should be easy
to track down. Assuming that it is intermittent, you can start to do things
like swap which PV input goes to which charge controller. Then see if the
fault st
Hi Michael,
I have also gotten some calls from people asking me to install equipment if
they purchase it on their own. Specifically a few calls about the EcoFlow
equipment. It sounds like it even has some of the required UL listings (I
have not looked into it too closely). But I tell them to do it
If anything, I'd be surprised that a 1.2 ratio is better than a 1.0 ratio.
Although, maybe the fact that an inverter is generally more efficient when
loaded closer to its rating compensates for some of the clipping with a
higher DC to AC ratio.

Hi Lou,
I had to reach out to them recently about an AC module of theirs that
stopped working. I did send the RMA form to so...@lgsupport.com. It took
them 4 days to respond. Turns out they were able to reset it remotely to
get it working again.
I am attaching the RMA form that I have.

Hi All,
I have just gotten myself into a pickle and so am posting this both as a
note/warning too all, as well as seeing if anyone has tried this.
I installed a small system with a Sol-Ark 12k a few years ago. The customer
recently asked us to add some more power. An 8k was more than enough, so w
Can you swap the strings in each inverter? Then you'll know whether the
issue truly lies in the inverter or the array.
Cheers,
Dave

Hi Mac,
Enphase's Power Control System (PCS) based limiting lives inside the IQ
gateway, not the system controller. So you can still implement this on a
standard grid tie system without the System Controller. Every system should
have a Gateway.

Jason,
You mentioning popping sounds reminds me of two separate systems that I was
called in to service recently where the homeowner was reporting popping
sounds. These were coming from the ground, not the roof, so it may not
apply. Both systems were roughly 10 years old, and the original installer
arger does not work.
Has anyone seem anything like this, or have any ideas?
Cheers,
Dave

Jason,
Cant you just make the AGS turn on the generator before the inverter gets
to the LBCO? Maybe this is more difficult if you do not have closed loop

There are lead acid batteries here.

anyone have a recommendation for either a vent fa controller or a whole
