Hi Chris,
I also am curious of others experiences. I've got one system with SMA and
the TS4-R-F. No problems, but it's only 6 months old. I hear that SMA now
recommends the ones made by JMS, but it looks like essentially the same
thing.

Hi All,
I am looking for recommendations for a solar racking system that can be put
on a flat commercial roof where the point loads can span 12-13" east/west.
I am imagining a system built up almost like a ground mount. Does anyone
have manufacturer suggestions?
Thanks!

some kind of fault in the inverter itself
that
occasionally induces extra current? Is there any way to tweak the settings
so that it
actually produces a bit more than 11.4kw? I appreciate your thoughts.

Hi Jason,
I recently did a microinverter swap of the old D380's to 54 of the IQ7
190's. Once it was commissioned I started seeing random MI's drop out, but
not always the same ones. I am pretty sure that this was due to
overvoltage. I measured the line voltage at 255v with the system turned
off.

Hi Mac,
Might I ask what modules these are connected to? There is some history here
with Sunpower modules (and possibly other high power, high voltage
modules). In these cases the issue is the module. If that's the case I can
provide some more detail about it.

Drake,
I believe that is for a single phase 2 wire output only. I am assuming one
hot and one neutral for the inverter output in this case. I would think
most *grid tied* inverters fall under 705.95B, where the neutral is only a
voltage sense and can be sized as small as the equipment ground.

, its not
a big deal, since these batteries are just for short term backup, so if the
inverter just cycle off and on when the batteries are mostly full, that
will be okay. But it would be nice if I can set up the frequency control.

Evan,
I am not sure if this is the same issue, but I have seen a lot of arc fault
issues with the E20-327 modules paired with SMA inverters. Every system
that we have done repairs on have had the Yukita junction boxes, and there
were a handful of failed solder joints on the diodes in the junction b

different way to actively vent a battery box? I prefer to not have a DC
draw that does not go through the inverter if possible.
Cheers,

It was about a month ago that I tried reaching out and was getting that
weird phone message that does not allow you to get anywhere. I called my
sales rep who told me off the record that they basically imploded and all
employees were told not to come in. He is now working somewhere else. A

Hi Lou,
It looks like Ironridge with the Midnite's MNSSR-600S-SS and some Solis

Hi all,
Unfortunately this sounds like it is occasionally done on purpose by the
utility, and I don't have much leverage to get them to change it. Good to
know. I am trying to get details from them though about whether they would
drop in a 240V transformer and what the cost will be.

Hi Bill,
Those SMA inverters can handle a max Isc of 18A. Check your module
datasheet, but I would assume that you would be under this limit. I've had
strings with an Imp of 11-12A and the inverter just adjusts where it is on
the MPPT curve to keep the current to under 10A. So there is a little bi
ity was open to changing it to 240V.

Also, does anyone know the warranty period for those Powerflo batteries? I
see a number of cycles specified, but not a number of years.

Yikes! I cannot speak to the AIO's in general.
However, I do still always install some sort of inverter bypass in battery
based systems. Then in case of a failure like this you can at least
continue to power the house off the generator as long as someone is there
to throw the switch.

Dave
like to be able to start an EQ
cycle and also start the generator to give a good top off. It seems that
you can choose the EQ frequency, but you don't know exactly when it will
try to EQ.
Thanks in advance!

Hi All,
I talked to Enphase recently about this. They will be providing warranty
support at least for Sunpower's microinverters. They do not know how long
Sunpower's monitoring will continue to work. But they have figured out a
way to use their Gateway to monitor Sunpower's microinverters, even th

u are adding Enphase to
an existing Sunpower system, you might be able to get one of the specially
programmed Gateways from the beginning. Those will be able to monitor both
the Enphase and the Sunpower equipment.
