Well, the measurements are in. The spindle is in fact 107mm and
appears to be symmetrical. So, I'm guessing the issue is with the
machining of my particular XD2.
This is okay as far as I'm concerned. I have no riding problems with
the Q-factor or chainline I have with the 113mm BB.

accomplish the same task just as effectively, just not as "pleasantly"

I wonder what this implies about the Sackville-style Li'l Loafer that
appeared in one of the photos promoting a SaddleSack. Will they go
forward with that?
I have a basket in front on a rack and I love my large SaddleSack;
thus won't be getting a rack trunk for either front or rear. But I do
like
ack Small. If they don't, or if it's too
different, I *may* end up getting a SaddleSack Medium for most days in
those other 4 months. The Medium looks like it would be easier to
carry with or without a shoulder strap.

Specifically "Wiggle", whose name I can't fathom. They do free
shipping to the USA with orders of $150 ($, not £... I think it's

Nothing wrong with the bags per se; I've discovered, though, that I
need larger capacities and more organization than they support. I and
my clothes are basically too big.

Yep, those are among the concerns I had. I may give it a try this weekend.
I like the fact that RBW and at least one other place I know (Ben's) sell some
of the rack hardware separately. I think I have what I need. But it's nice to

Any thoughts on whether the HPX-4 would work equally well on a 60cm Sam
Hillborne? Effective top tube is 3cm shorter than the 64's, which I think means
the actual top tube is slightly more than 3cm shorter.

work well with my 40-622s. But I don't want to tinker after every tire change.

No, it doesn't have a brake bridge fender boss. As I understand it, the
Wisconsin Hillbornes do not come with a fender boss under the brake bridge. I
think I read somewhere that one could get one as an option. But that was not an
authoritative source. I've never pursued one.
I use V-brakes, so
