I'm very partial to Rivendell frame names that reference the Lord of
the Rings. I can live with the Roadeo name. I think naming their
mountain bike the Bombadill was about the most perfect name they ever
came up with. Outside of Rivendell my favorite frame names come from
Surly--Long Haul Trucker
I'm curious if anyone on this list has ordered a Roadeo? What ETA did
Rivendell give you. It looks like they may be available by the end of

It's funny, if I go out on my Hilsen I always end up thinking "This is
really the only bike I need." But then I'll go for a ride on my
Rambouillet and think "I sure am glad I have this bike too." as it
feels just a little more lively. I also have my Surly CC which I

I wonder if the source of the "knot" is your clothing? Are you
commuting bike clothes or just regular clothes. Could it be that there

Agreed, the Bombadil is a much nicer looking bike and probably a whole
lot sturdier. The Fargo has a nice price and seems to handle well
based on initial rider reviews. I think it fills a nice niche. I have
a feeling there will be quite a few of them on the starting line at
the Great Divide Race n

I noticed the same thing. I'd ride a 60cm which has a TT of 62. That's
long. Even with the bars level with the saddle I'd have use a 9cm
stem. But then again, maybe not. I could be missing something here. I
wouldn't push the saddle forward to "shorten" the TT.

I've used both. I really like the Silvers. I like that they're longer
and the action on them is great.

There are now pictures of the medium and large Sackville bags posted.
It's weird that Grant mentions the bags as being named after a town in
Canada. I thought it was a reference to the trashy side of the Baggins
clan in the LOTR.
