I have a Hilsen and like others have mentioned you might find yourself falling behind your friends when going uphill. Sure, the main thing is the motor but the Hilsen is not the bike I'd reach for first to go out and mix it up with friends on carbon bikes. I'd strongly advise you to take a look at the Roadeo. You could set that up with Jack Brown greens, brifters and a nice set of wheels (Mavic Open Pros?) and still be able to scurry up and down a dirt path from time to time. I love my Hilsen the way I have it set up now--BE shifters, triple crankset, 700x35 tires. It's perfect for my solitary rambles along back roads with dirt excursions.

I think this is good advice. See the scans from RR#38 at the bottom of the page for more info http://www.cyclofiend.com/rbw/hilsen/index.html#ahhreaderintro But who knows, maybe you'll get a Hilsen and your friends will come around to see the advantages of a bike like the Hilsen. Let us know what you decide on. --mike --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
