My carradice is time consuming to take on and off. I recently got a
new sprung saddle that makes it near impossible to get the straps thru the
loops in less than a few minutes.

While I am trying to convince my wife to get a Betty, I was thinking about
an Albatross with bar-ends conversion for her Raleigh comfort bike. Why?
She is having trouble with the stock twist index shifters. The bike grinds
away during shifting and throws the chain pretty regularly.

I never used friction shifting before, but I am getting used to it now
after a month of riding my new Sam. N
