Not sure how important this is - but the image from Riv looks more
like the Shimano brakse than the iRD cantilevers.
I agree that a longer straddle wire will help - be careful not to
lengthen it too much, as that may reduce the mechanical advantage,
thereby "de-powereing" your brakes
rting myself with respect to clothing/snacks/
mechanical. That's not to say that I don't appreciate a nice
restaurant or cafe along the route every bit as much as anyone else.

Sorry to be late to the party. I run moustache bars on a Bianchi Cross
Project (also not a Legolas). I have a Quickbeam and a Custom. Based on the
ride of these bikes and the Cross Project, I think the Cross Project is
pretty close to the Legolas.

I have seen posts from others in the area over the years - but not many in
the recent past (with the exception of Bill Lindsay).
Hope to get in some rides with you.

e Saddle - Came off the tandem I acquired last summer. Some
discoloration of the leather on the forward portion.
Ideale Seatpost - Was paired with the saddle. Appears to require dual rails.
If you're local and you want any of this stuff, let me know and I will send
you my address.

Sorry about the 404.
It's pretty much a moot point now though.
Joe Bunik cleaned me out except for the pedals.
The pedals will go to the recycling bin for bikes in El Cerrito.

Anybody else gonna ride the Grizzly Peak Century this year?
Please forgive the cross-post to the iBOB list.

I'm not a fan of long wheelbase bikes either. Although - amusingly, I have
definitely spent more time on my Hubbuhubbuh and the Cunningham Hubbuhubbuh
than all my other bikes put togeter.
Try finding a longer wheelbase bike than a Hubbuhubbuh.

I don't think of myself as mainstream because I have never and will never
consider riding carbon. Not that I'm a snob - just that I prefer my steel
