Sorry if my post sounded rather down. Down was not my intent. I may
have written the post too soon after the ride. I thoroughly enjoyed
the ride - despite the flat and the trashed pedal. I was happy to be
[mostly] prepared for the mechanical problems. And Steady Eddy's is
truly fantastic. I plan to repeat the ride and get beyond Winters next
time.

I was rather surprised to find my front tire had flatted. Finding the
busted pedal spindle immediately after that compounded things. And my
left knee felt better after about a day and twenty or thirty
ibuprofen.
