I have hypotheses about this:
1. Rain washes debris into the traffic lane, which makes it available for
tires to run over.
2. The water acts as a lubricant to facilitate penetration. It may also
serve as an adhesive to stick the debris to the tire tread.
3. Any debris that is embedded in the rub
The Road does well as a 650B convert. Several have posted to the list on
how their bikes came out. Here's mine showing RBW Maxy Fastys (36s) It has
over 3,600 miles since the conversion.

The PDW Fenderbot tail light works on a Longboard fender. And also on the
Planet Bike fenders. Have in the past used them on the now departed Sam

I've been running a heavy rear light on the Longboard since early Oct
without any problems. Doesn't meant there wont' be.. just that so far

I’m planning my new country bike with drop bars and bar end shifters and
I’m considering which brakes I should choose.
The alternatives I’m thinking at the moment are:
- Tektro CR720 cantilevers & Shimano BL-R400 levers
- Avid Single Digit 7 V-brakes & Tektro RL 520 levers

Go with the V-brakes b/c they can be less of an ass pain to setup.
The tektro 520 levers also feel pretty good in my hands. Having said that -
so do the shimano levers.
However, if you really want cantis, spring for the paul cantis - they are
just a nicer brake and less fidgety to setup than the
