I wouldn't.

I'm having enough trouble getting my Longboards to stay where I want
them, but that is probably because I have to stand the bike on end,
i.e. on the rear fender, to get it up and down the elevator in my
building. Which would make that spot not work for a light anyway.
I use a blinky clipped to my saddle bag.
