We used Neubaum cloth tape, which happens to have a very sticky
adhesive, and wrapped it as usual. At the end (or rather the center)
we then took a little bit of what was left over and used it like you
would a piece of tape – did I mention it is really sticky stuff? To

difficult to install IMO because it wants to twist and stick to itself

into every bike in the garage the first time you get on home and set
up. I was putting together a 650b conversion for the wife's bike and
thought I would grab a few dimensions on all other potential
conversion bikes in the stab

Actually, those are an early edition VO fenders. They are kinda flat
across the top and had a wide profile; I hand polished them to a
bright shine.

In my humble opinion, a Roadeo would be an absolutely lousy 650B
conversion candidate. There is WAY too much BB drop on a Roadeo to
even consider 650B. A Hilsen/Saluki which is a low BB 650B bike only
has 67mm of drop. A Roadeo has 75mm of drop (or more, depending on
size). Your cranks and BB w
I work in IT and my advice is don't do things to circumvent internet
security installed by your company. Where I work it's instant
termination and 650b conversions can't be worth that. BUT perhaps
your work is more lenient with such things.

the CdlV is 670mm dia and the JB is 700mm almost exactly for both, so
I would estimate the drop at 15 - 20 mm with a load on the tire,
unfortunately I was in a hurry to get the wife bike done and the brake
pads on the Roadeo rubbed so I just threw the wheels on to see how
they fit but no test ride.
One small correction:
As you might have noticed, the bike has Nitto Moustache bars, not
Albatross. I guess I was too mesmerized by the second toptube to jot
down the information correctly.

re. neubaums tape, I used it on a 3 month tour recently and it held
up extremely well, color-fast too (color is green). It was a bit

Great work. Go ahead and take the time to trim the stays close to
flush with the top of the platrack. It's worth the effort. Do it
clean like Mark does in the video. Then if/when you run a SlickerSack
it'll fit right off the back, and you'll be able to fit large flat
items on your Platrac
The Nitto Pearl 9 measures 9.7cm. The other Nitto stems, Deluxe,
Dynamic, Crystal Fellow, & Lugged all measure true to size from my
experience.
