Here, at least I think, is a pretty funny story. I was riding in
Sparkill, NY today going up a short but steep hill on my Rambouillet
set up in credit card touring mode. A guy on a Trek Madone pulls
along side me, and with a hint of condensation says, "Wow, nice bell
on that bike", refer
We found out later- there are four ports (this is not the right word,
probably). One was messed up, and three were good, giving you a 75%
chance of getting through. I am on now, but not sure if it's a fluke,
or it's fixed.
In any case, thank you for your patience, and if you couldn't/can't
log on,
I've found that bell to be effective about 90% of the time against the dogs
that run out after me on country rides. Less effective with small children, who
won;t pay attention, no matter what...
I think your "horn" might be a dog attractor, actually..
