I'm still perplexed by waterford. When the AHH was new, and being
built exclusively by Waterford, I tried to order one with canti studs
and a crown braze-on to screw a metal fender into, and the quote for
that was also $500. That's how I ended up with the Ebisu All

By the way, I checked out Shimano Ultegra Caliper weight: 294g per

would be much more, if as much, as the differenced between RacerM
Admittedly do not have a good scale, but the cable, hanger and bolt on
my Mafac Racers(all3sets)/Competition/Raids are heavier than Paul

Competition calipers alone are pretty light.

Better yet
Better yet, just have the unpainted bike sent to Nobilette and have him
braze them on. Wait time could be a hassle, but the extra shipping would
still vastly outweigh W'Ford's upcharge. Sheesh, it's not like've never
done canti posts before. In fact whatever set up for the first Racer posts

I don't understand the Waterford thing either. I don't know about the stays,
but the tubes I know about on the Roadeo aren't exactly super light and
thin, unless you are comparing them to the Bombadil.
At at least as stout as the Rambo, and stouter than the Legolas, I think, at

If it's true that the Paul brakes can overpower the stays or fork
blades and cause a twist, (I'm only guessing here given that Paul
Oh, and the reason I say too bad if true is that at first the word
from Riv was no DT braze ons for the Roadeo. Now it is an option. If
demand is there, Riv may well find a way to convince Waterford the
folly of its ways.

Well, that is too bad if true.
The Brazeons modulate better than centerposts.
Too strong would never be an issue. Pauls have near infinite and very
easy adjustability. Once you get the hang of it, in a matter of
minutes you can set the brakes where they will throw you over the
handlebars with b
Speculating is fun, but I called and asked Keven for the answer. I've
talked with him a few times about a Roadeo maybe next year, so I asked
how it would work if I wanted Paul Racer posts. He said Waterford is
violently opposed to posts. He asked them previously to do it for a
customer and they

I have experienced original Racers in post mount and braze on. The
post mounts are probaby better than 99% of what is out there today.
The Brazeons are that

Yes they do, same as the longer reach Paul Racers.

Purely wishfull thinking on my point.
However, these brakes are so in line with Riv design and philosophy I
really think some of the stock bikes should offer this as an option.

Thanks for the heads up, I've been thinking of treating my '03
Rambouillet to some new clothes - brakes and crank. I've been waiting
for these.
