Speculating is fun, but I called and asked Keven for the answer. I've
talked with him a few times about a Roadeo maybe next year, so I asked
how it would work if I wanted Paul Racer posts. He said Waterford is
violently opposed to posts. He asked them previously to do it for a
customer and they said no. He asked more encouragingly and they
reluctantly said "OK for $500 extra". So, in conclusion, he said if I
had to have them, we should pursue a Nobillette built Riv custom. So
there you have it. You can't get them, but it's no fault of
Rivendells.

Keven also pointed out all the obvious common sense things. The
center mount ones are already so strong, maybe too strong. What more
do you need?. If they are too strong you can replace them with less
strong center mount ones. Having a single-source for any of your
parts to keep your bike rideable is risky. All correct statements.
