Is there anyone out there that has Hetres in a 58cm 650b AHH, with
Berthoud 650x50mm fenders? Can it be done? I wonder, but I don't
really $136-for-tires-that-may-not-fit wonder.
I found this on another thread's flickr stream (a great build,
recommended ogling...) and it sure looks tight in ther

Your description of your old Pro reminds me a bit of my new Berthoud.
The leather is indeed thick and stiff, and it seems like it'll take
years and miles to break it in nicely. It is however not as wide as
the B-17 as well.

My hat went in late to this ring as well, and I'm looking forward to
seeing the tan sidewall 38s on my Hilsen. I have great hope they'll
fit well under the fenders, where Hetres just wouldn't. Last summer,
when I built the bike, I was riding the 32mm Cypres and was happy. As

Thanks everyone for feeding the beast! Velo love is so easy yet so

My intention with a daily Bleriot will be to equip it with a dynohub
front wheel, which would *probably* be the latest Shimano, just to
save a few $$. Perhaps I'l

Here in Chicago I've been wearing the Riv possum hat w/ bill & ear
covers, pretty much exclusively. If it's < 20F, I'll add a wool
balaclava and I'm fine!
To the OP (JoelMatthews?) yes, yesterday 2/27 was a fine day to head
out - Sheridan north is quite passable!

umm yeah so I'm going with a stunning bright yellow glittery banana
seat, 3' ape hangers with mirrors and horns (and tassles), red BMX
"mag" wheels and the coup de grace: a propeller! It's because of the
threaded steerer tube.
Actually my parts arrived at my LBS, they're all rather Italian in

My "standard w/ blue" Roadeo got to me today, early, as well (59cm).
I wondered if it might have

"Hey Joe, where you goin' with that 'beam in your hand?" I have no
idea why.)
I'm planning on doing the annual Perimeter ride on Saturday, quite
possibly on my Quickbeam (

Hello world,
I just had to de-lurk for a brief moment. I've been reading here for
months, enjoying the tech talk, ride reports, pics, banter, news, what-
have-you. I finally actually joined the group, and maybe I'll able to
contribute as well as all y'all.
