My hat went in late to this ring as well, and I'm looking forward to seeing the tan sidewall 38s on my Hilsen. I have great hope they'll fit well under the fenders, where Hetres just wouldn't. Last summer, when I built the bike, I was riding the 32mm Cypres and was happy. As weather and ground conditions faltered (Chicago), I got CdlV and measured 36mm. I really liked the ride, running about 50psi give or take a few puffs, over all sorts of fun stuff (snow, mud, weird Prairie Path mud (limestone), who knows what else).
Now with the impending bloom of these ~38mm tires, I can hardly wait, but I'm fine waiting. More than anything I'm very glad Mr Pacenti took the initiative to spearhead this, and I'm so very grateful to all who participated.
