[RBW] Newbaums color to match honey Brooks?

Howdy folks. What color of padded Newbaums shellacs best to match a honey Brooks? I think I have some clear Bullseye around somewhere, so whatever ends up honey looking with clear would be my preference. Also, do I need 1 or 2 rolls to wrap a Chocomoose in front of thumby shifters? Thanks, Doug

Bryce - ahh that's a good point, now that you say it, it seems only logical that the next generation of Hillibike will use these lugs and a straight top tube that's thicker gauge than the CHG. Should not only improve the cost / fab time, but stiffen up the frame a bit too I'd expect. I kinda

John, Thank you for the link. I've watched about half of it and it is fascinating. I had read much of that history but seeing the photos by Wende Cragg and interviews with the mountain biking founding fathers is pure gold. Doug On Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 8:18:45 PM UTC-5 John Rinker wrote:

I also think it's going to be a new hillibike and I reckon it'll get the 90 degree lugs that they developed for CHG. Straight TT = easier/cheaper to braze. On Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 8:18:45 PM UTC-5 John Rinker wrote: > Hey Doug, > > Klunkers were the original mountain bikes and were cobble

Hey Doug, Klunkers were the original mountain bikes and were cobbled together from older Schwinn newsboy bicycles (or some such). There's a fine film over on The Radavist called Camera Corner which sheds more light on this. Che
