Hey Doug, Klunkers were the original mountain bikes and were cobbled together from older Schwinn newsboy bicycles (or some such). There's a fine film over on The Radavist called Camera Corner <https://theradavist.com/camera-corner-documentary-wende-cragg/> which sheds more light on this.
