It took me 14 years to finally burn out the Tange BB on my Riv built '04 Ram. While pulling it out, a big piece of styrofoam came out of the lug with it. Would anyone happen to know why that would have been in there? I didn't put it back in there with the new UN55 ha ha. Thank you- Luke --

I had a double top tube Sam with both those brakes at various times. The Sam is a great bike, and if I had to sell all my bikes and buy just one, I’d probably get a Sam. The tektros were ok, but the Paul center pulls are awesome. Equal stopping power to cantis, or at least any cantis I’ve had.

That's my impression, too, Igor. Roadeo is an older mostly-level-toptube 700c design with mid-reach brakes like the Rambouillet; it never struck me as a big seller, nor one that Riv promoted much. I expect it to remain a MUSA bike you can special order, but I don't see a same-name MIT version in

No, Hilsen has thicker tubing IIRC and Roadini has 6degree sloping TT and isn’t fully lugged. Although the Roadini is probably the best engineered bike on earth right now. I already have two 8/5/8 Rivendells and am interested in trying a 7/4/7 with shorter chainstay Riv like a Roadeo. -- You
