I'm selling a custom front rack that was made specifically for a Saluki. It
should also fit any of the Rivendells with similar tire clearances/forks
(Hilsen, Hillborne, etc.). I've fit it on my Atlantis as well, but it's not
ideal for the huge tire clearance.

I rode on my Bleriot! Saw a Rambouillet. And, lots of carbon,
pacelines, lycra.but the scenery was beautiful and the weather good.

Luckily I have a perfectly good pair of Jack Browns that I foolishly took
off to try these out. I was tire-curious. I'll let them stretch on the rims
over a couple of days, but am not holding out much hope. Shouldn't have to
have a four part assembly to mount some tires! :-)

I ride with the Jitensha/Postino/Pope bars tilted down a bit to up the comfort
level. One possibility is to put some tape on the frontmost bends to add a
climbing position. Also try those Resist Nomads for some bounce for your riding!

tight, it's just the way they lie so flat on the rim I can't get the tube

Some good advice here. Another top tip for troublesome cloth: soak it in
water before you wrap. It helps it stretch, lay flat (not bunch and kink as
much), and as it dries, it shrinks a bit so it's nice and tight.

The Riv video shows the upper section being done from the brake lever up.
Recently I tried ending both sections at the brake lever and found that it
really works well. It makes the hemp twine thing unnecessary, but you can
still do it just for looks. It works really well for a harlequin weave. F
If you can tolerate non-Shimano brake levers (just mask or steel wool-off
the branding!), any brake levers with the quick-release at the levers (ala
Campagnolo Ergopowers) can double-up the brake opening to allow fatter
tires on narrower rims to pass through without deflating. My Record

Like anything, it depends on which ones you choose Andy. The Ritchey dodads
are sold in singles, so we're talking over $20 a pair, but they are not
even relevant to this discussion!
Inline adjusters are sold in pairs, usually about $8-10. Like these :

All those in-line adjusters cost more than the Ritchey quick disconnect
do-dads; if a person were inclined to go through the rigging necessary to
install them I'll bet the actual cost would be more.
What I do on my Rambouillet is set up the cable on those same Shimano
calipers with the barrel a
C17 si also officially a composite material - I think you nailed it there,
Doug - the frame is aluminum instead of steel. This saddle will open up a
market to them. They are not expecting to lose us over this saddle,
they're expecting to gain others.
