Ray - it sounds like you are on to a lost idea. You could write a book on the
lost art of saving for something. It could be like a new diet book for
Euromericans.
It's funny - when I bought my Hilsen, it was the first thing I saved up for
probably since I was a kid. I then bought components
I stopped by RBW today. Keven said the 1st 2 lay-aways have been
reserved. One's a Simpleone and the other is a Hilsen. Neither are
mine. I'd go for a Hunq probably.

I've never understood why lay away is more appealing than saving up
for something.
Of course in my case I never actually buy what I save up for. For
example I recently saved up for another Hillborne. I figured I could
leave the big racks, bags, baskets on and be ready for vacations
(tours), trip

Origin8 makes a nice silver double bolt seatpost for a good price. It
has 25mm of setback.Called Classic Sport.
Also for a little more the new Ritchey Classic is very nice too.

No one has ever made a better seatpost than the Salsa Shaft.
Saddly, they no longer make it in silver. I stocked up the year they
stopped making silver and I'm glad I did.
If you can find one, they are the cat's pajamas in my opinion.

The Kalloy post VO is selling appears to be the same post that came
stock on my Sam Hillborne. Works fine. Would not hesitate to use that

I did indeed ziptie the cable housing to the top tube - not very
elegant, but works just fine. Maybe I'll find my Round Tuit this
