he's been receiving a lot more than $1, as reported on SmileTrain's

and that $678,058 figure doesn't include the $200k he gets from
SmileTrain UK, a subisidiary of the U.S. company.  not bad for a "40
hr." workweek!  looks like the salaries of the executive officers are
definitely increasing with increase in company assets.  but, like it
says on the SmileTrain website, "We manage Smile Train like a
business" - apparently, that includes executive compensation.

the question is:  does it matter?  SmileTrain does good work, right?
and who's to say that good work wouldn't continue if the merger is
approved?  I understand the position of the petition, but I don't see
the end game - stop the merger and keep SmileTrain under the control
of Wang and have a divided board trying to get things done?

at the end of the day, i doubt all those kids with cleft lips and
palates care who gets paid.  if you believe in the cause - give your
money to Operation Smile.
