I measured several times I have short legs and a longer upper body.
Test rode a 52 Bombadil fits perfect and the owner has almost the same
body type as I do he is 5'10" and has an 80 PBH.

splitters to quickly switch between bar setups. It will require
dedicating brakes and shifters to each bar setup, and you will need to
purchase the necessary splitters and extra cables to configure it
properly

I'm going through a similar process. My Bombadil has a bullmoose bar
setup, and I am piecing together the drop bar setup. I tried the dirt
drop and it was too high and not enough horizontal reach for road
riding. I then mapped out all my bikes on drafting paper using the
frame drawing tutorial t
You will need a shorter stem with the m-bars than with drops, so what
I do is have an appropriate stem, bars, and levers taped up and ready
to switch. Just undo the brake cables, switch stem set-ups, connect
the cables and you're ready to go.

Hard to find models that take fat 700c tires as we tend to like, so you
might want to look at 26" if you're planning on riding trails with it (which
is AWESOME BTW!).

Do you have a frame size in mind? Your PBH sounds a little low for your
height--my PBH is a smidgen higher than yours but I'm only 5'7".
