Jumping in here -- front & rear disk brakes open up 650b options
without having to buy a custom. We have an '05 Cannondale MTB disk
tandem that we used with 700x28s for awhile before going back to
559/26" wheels for fatter tires. When I get the motivation, the next
wheelset will be 650b. Until the Soma 650b tire came out I was not
convinced about existing 650b tires for tandeming -- everything seemed
too light or too tough -- but the Soma looks like a good candidate. I
know, CdlV, but not really to my taste. The new Grand Bois might be a
good one too -- Jan?
