There are a few shops in Seattle that carry 650b stuff. I've seen a
few beautiful custom 650b'ers around town, several Bleriots, and an
occasional Kogwell. I think if more people would be willing to try
them they'd be sold on the ride. Today I took my Bleriot, shod with

Came in a bit late on this one and had to go back to Riv and read GP's
comments. To me, all this speculation about the end of the Atlantis
is reading a lot into what Grant wrote. I take his words at face
value - either the price goes up or they don't produce in Japan.
Simple economics. If it we

That's the one. Love it!
Using the s...@#t out of it.
It's attaining beusage quickly. Some scratches. A couple of dents on

Ride it on dirt. On the road. Fast, slow. Skinny tires. Fat tires.

I'll say it one more tim: Grant was right
The deal, as I recall, is that most forks are bent after the dropouts are
brazed in. This leaves a straight section above the dropouts since the
bender can only get so close to them. All of the custom builders who do the
pretty, low curve bend the blades individually before attaching the
dropout
I agree with Jim. Rather than treating it as a special size, Riv has
integrated it into their models, which normalizes the size. My only
disappointment is not having 650B in the larger Riv sizes. My 62cm

All my bikes are 700c but I ride bigger bikes--62cm Rambouillet and
63cm Hilsen. I wouldn't hesitate to ride a 650b bike if I used a
smaller frame size. A coworker recently did a conversion to 650b and
loves it. It seems to work well for him. I hope it doesn't fade away.

it's at best a niche market. If it lasts for a year or two it's a

I'm not sure the low end, but I was informed by Grant the high end
will stop at 63. He relayed that anything taller would need stouter
tubes and basically be a Hilsen w/o the clearance. I'd love a steel
roadie road bike in 68cm but now I can quit worrying about what I
might hawk to get it.
