I agree with Jim. Rather than treating it as a special size, Riv has integrated it into their models, which normalizes the size. My only disappointment is not having 650B in the larger Riv sizes. My 62cm Nobilette Protovelo is butter. And I can't explain it, but any rando bike with 650B just looks about perfect - with fenders, of course. And rides perfect. Every bike is different, but I like the ride of my 650B bikes over the 700c. That's just in my experience - not meant to be a blanket statement. I'd bet a 60cm Hilsen with 650B set up with a rando bag and Honjos would look pretty darn sweet.
Riv has most things I need, and various local bike stores order most things anyway (I don't understand the importance of an LBS having something "in stock" anyway - when does that happen!?). Remember Kirk Pacenti's interview in RR an issue or two ago - he's certainly on board and quite enthusiastic about the size for all applications. I have a Neo-moto clad Rawland it love it. I'm sure the 650B Bombadil owners are happy. With adjustable brakes like the Paul BMX brakes, you can throw in 700c wheels if you want. Does that work on the Bomba?
