I'll say it one more tim: Grant was right then, when he brought out the Saluki, and he is wrong now: 650B is not just for short people! I think he let the sniping on rec.bicycles.tech get under his skin and he shouldn't have; they will hate him there no matter what he does, and they always will. They hate Jan, too. Those are the same people who are positive the Grand Bois tires are identical to Paselas because they're "both made by Panaracer in the same plant." What can you do with reasoning like that? Giving up your principles because of rude idiots like that doesn't seem to be much of an answer, but that seems to be what Grant has done. > My 62cm > Nobilette Protovelo is butter. I should mention, Nobilette is one of those top-tier builders I spoke of earlier, as is the other house he builds for, Rene Herse. 650B is a staple in the Herse line (and no, they don't make any 559 bikes that I know of, either). > And I can't explain it, but any rando > bike with 650B just looks about perfect - with fenders, of course. > And rides perfect. I have tires in stock in my basement for the sizes/brands I use. I'm sure that's true for most everyone else here, regardless of what size those tires are, although I must admit it's rare for most of the folks in the two bike clubs I belong to. But then, we too are a niche, just as is 650B. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
