HBEDV has changed - it is now called avscan rather than antivir, and got new
options
-tmp. becomes --temp=.

Hi,
current practise is to scan everything but plaintext email for viruses.
A large percentage of mails is text/html these days so they are going to be
scanned.
I wonder whether it would be possible to have a test in the perl code for

Hi,
DKIM is pretty similar to Dk - it should be possible to adapt the existing DK
patch to DKIM.
I once started on that project, but I never finished because the dns
provider does not
support the necessary TXT records but only provides a spf setup tool.
One thing that seems to be tricky

Here is a piece of mail that gets classified as spam,
although it should not.
I have replaced a few email addresses by fake ones, they dont contribute to the
problem.
So what happens: a mail is sent via an authenticated session, to a qmail /
qmail-scanner
setup running at mydomain.de
Here qmail

Hi Erik,
I am not using procmail and vpopmail there, but a cyrus imap.
The method should work too: all deliveries are via a .qmail file that calls a
delivery script.
Now the delivery script calls SA and pipes the output (with SA markup added)
into the
cyrus deliver mechanism

Hi,
I am running a setup as suggested byJason's last paragraph, but using mysql
instead of ldap
QS only checks for viruses.
Once a mail made it past that point, the database is consulted for local
delivery instructions.
For normal users, this will be scripted delivery via SA into an imap mailbox
Hi,
so if someone overflows your server with a few thousand extra virus mails,
until scanners no
longer work, you would rather want the virii pass than ask the sender to retry?
Having some kind of alert to the admin would be really great, however
