Hi all,
Following some instructions by Ivaylo Toshev to install QT 3.1 and KDE
3.1. When configuring I get the error:
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgcc_s

qmake failed to build. Aborting.
Any help here? what's -lgcc_s?
Thanks,

Hi,
I fixed the problem. Check out the INSTALL file on the QT downloads
website. Those directions tell you how to use it without running 'make
install'. That gets rid of the problem. Thanks for the note on apt.

Thanks for the explanation, Guy, it was very helpful. Do the 3ware ATA RAID
controllers and drivers handle true hot-swap (with a hot-swap chassis, of
course)? or does one have to manually disable the to-be-removed drive before
removing and replacing it?
Thanks!

This message means from fam means that the client did something unexpected.
A quick Web search suggests test-monitor is probably a GNOME component, so
I guess it happens when starting GNOME or a GNOME component that uses FAM
such as the Nautilus file manager. I can't think why exactly it would happen.

This package works with the sendmail restricted shell, and once installed,

It was actually easier (I installed it during the meeting I attend here)
than Andrew wrote. I just followed the instructions in the Makefile, i.e.
make; make install; restart ca
et to require one (only 7 linux servers).
Hi Brian,
you don't need a dedicated machine just to run a NIS server. Just declare
one (the one which has the highest probability to be up all the time) to
be the server, and the other are the clients. There is a howto at the
LDP.

Though it was already posted before, but for sake of completeness, you

What I was trying to point out, if a user disables the screensaver (i.e.
chooses not to have a screen saver), then the screen should never blank,
because that's what is chosen. If you want a blank screen saver, you have
to choose the screen saver "blank".

/etc/sysconfig/iptables is n
