What do you mean with "refresh package list operation"? Did you run
"up2date -p" yourself or did you schedule that action at the RHN web
site? In case of the latter, you would need to have rhnsd, the Red
Hat Network Service Daemon, running on your machine ("chkconfig
rhnsd on"). It would poll RHN periodically and retrieve your
scheduled actions and execute them.
